Thor’s Hammer Community Projects — Calling for Submissions

July 2022

We recently did a call-out on social media asking our community to share with us a project they're proud of that uses recycled timber from Thor's Hammer.

We were thrilled to have a huge range projects or pieces shared with us—it’s been incredible to see the breadth of projects in the works out there!

So, we would love for you to keep these submissions coming so that we can continue to celebrate you, our community of makers and creatives, from the hobbyists and dabblers to the full-time pros.

What Types of Projects Are We Looking for?

We’re keen to hear about anything and everything that’s been created using Thor’s Hammer timber.

Maybe you didn't 'get your hands dirty' but you were involved in the design process of something in your home that you're proud of? Maybe it was the first piece of furniture you ever made? Or maybe you worked with a team as part of your day job to deliver a client project that they were chuffed with?

Regardless of what it is, we’d love to hear about it.

Where Will These Projects Be Shared?

We love sharing community projects on social media (like Instagram and Facebook), in our monthly design email newsletter, and on our website blog. It’s a great way to spark creative ideas, and to celebrate high quality craftsmanship, design and architecture within our community.

If we get a submission that we’re particularly chuffed with, we may even reach out to highlight it in a blog post, a dedicated shout out on social media, or even as a case study to write a story about for a media publication like green magazine or Canberra Times.

If you’re in business, this is a great way to get some new eyes on your products or services. If you’re a hobbyist, it’s a great way to show the world what you’re working on, and perhaps inspire someone else to get out the tools and get creative.

How to Share Your Projects With Us

You can email a few photos or short videos of your project (iPhone photos are just fine) to ellie@thors.com.au. Or, you can also message us on Instagram, or even make a post and tag it show we’re sure to see it.
