We’re a Finalist in the 34th National Banksia Sustainability Awards!

Big news from Hammer HQ. After a rigorous selection process, we've been chosen as one of 6 finalists for the 34th National Banksia Sustainability 'Circular Transition' Award by Banksia Foundation.
The Circular Transition Award "recognises outstanding achievements [by companies or individuals] in innovative design in waste and pollution systems, products, and regenerating strategies. Successful entrants will have pushed for a more circular system and/or adopted technology, initiatives or commenced projects or partnerships that have unleashed circular solutions."
It's all very fluffy language but it's important because it recognises the efforts of the entire Thor's Hammer team in creating and contributing to a unique timber recycling model, forging the way for a more 'circular' way of operating in the construction industry.
Circularity in our business model is about diverting as much timber from landfill as possible and extending its life by salvaging, remanufacturing, and recycling it, and using smart design to create furniture, joinery and construction timbers that will last many lifetimes.
Being recognised as a finalist shows that what we're doing is making a positive difference and that the industry wants and needs more of what we offer.
