WARRANTY

Thor’s Hammer offers a lifetime warranty on our recycled timber products against defects in workpersonship and materials.   

Normal wear and tear is not covered by our warranty. Regular care and maintenance will help avoid damage caused by wear and tear, and when ordering a product with us you will be guided through how best to care for it to ensure it looks great for many years to come. 

Timber products and finishes can be adversely affected by external factors such as exposure to moisture and damp, or excessively dry conditions. Damage caused by external factors is not covered by our warranty. 

During the order process we will provide advice to make sure your piece is going into a suitable environment - and in the rare case where damage has been caused by external factors, we are available to inspect and quote for repairs.

WARRANTY & REPAIR PROCESS

If you have a warranty or repair enquiry please get in contact. The best option is to send us an email at hammer@thors.com.au with a description and some photos of the issue. We will then assess the product, determine if it is a warranty issue and get back to you to organise the repair.

CARE & MAINTENANCE

Most maintenance is for the coating of our recycled timber products..

At Thor’s Hammer we use and recommend natural Osmo Hardwax Oils from Germany to finish our products. Details on care of the Osmo finishes is available in our Bench Top Care and Flooring Care information sheets, available to download here:

Please don’t hesitate to ask us if you are unsure about the correct care for your product, as preventative maintenance is always a better option than repairs.

 

REFUND & RETURNS POLICY

OSMO FINISHES & HARDWARE

We accept returns and exchanges of Osmo finishes and general hardware within 3 months from purchase. The container must be unopened and in original condition. We reserve the right to refuse returns if we believe that the Osmo has not been stored or handled properly. We will not accept returns on Osmo that has been stored at sub zero temperatures.

JOINERY & BENCHTOPS

Deposits paid on Joinery, furniture and bench tops can be returned in full prior to commencing work. Cancellations after work has commenced will be assessed for costs incurred and costs will be deducted from the deposit amount to be returned. Costs incurred may include the labour for design, site visits and timber picking, and the costs of purchased materials.

As most of our joinery products are made to order, we cannot accept returns on completed products. The Manager may offer to purchase our products back from you at a cost which reflects our assessment of how difficult it will be to resell, and how long we could end up holding the item in stock.

TIMBER & ARCHITECTURAL PRODUCTS

We will return deposits paid on timber & architectural product orders as long as the product has not left our premises, and we have not started work on processing.

Because these products are picked, docked and custom made to order we cannot accept returns on these items once they have been processed. The Manager may offer to purchase our products back from you at a cost which reflects our assessment of how difficult it will be to resell, and how long we could end up holding the item in stock. The price we purchase items back from you will usually be in the range of 25% - 50% of the original purchase price.
