Closed Loop Canberra Local Ash Flooring & Blackbutt Decking

This well thought out renovation and extension to a Canberrra Griffith govvie incorporated re-milled Canberra Local Ash flooring and wire brushed re-milled decking in Blackbutt / Dense Browns.

This renovation tastefully maintains some of the original character throughout, using touches of natural materials and of course the iconic Canberra red bricks inside and out.

The ash flooring is one of our first batches we have made from local timbers rescued by our new demolition partners Brucic Construction. The old rafters, joists and purlins are dropped off by the tipper load to our yard. Then we de-nail, metal detect, saw and stabilise the timbers in our solar kiln. Finally we re-mill them using our 6 head moulder to create clean dressed boards complete with new tongue & groove profiles ready for laying.
